Terms of Service

The service
AdvisorIQ (“we,” “us,” the “Service”), at myadvisoriq.app, is a discovery tool for finding registered investment advisers and their representatives in the United States, built on public regulatory filings. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Public-record information
All advisor and firm information on the Service is public-record information that is already published by the United States government. It comes from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) system — a system the federal government operates for the express purpose of making this information freely available to the public. Investment advisers and their representatives are required by law to file this information, and it is already accessible to anyone at no cost directly from the SEC at adviserinfo.sec.gov.
AdvisorIQ does not create, originate, author, or independently generate any of this information. We organize and re-present information that is already public, and we link back to the official government source on every profile so you can verify it yourself. We do not assert or imply any relationship with, affiliation with, or endorsement by any advisor or firm listed. Republishing truthful information drawn from public government records is lawful, and we present it for the public benefit of helping people make more informed decisions.
Not advice, not an endorsement
AdvisorIQ provides information, not recommendations. Nothing on the Service is investment, legal, tax, or financial advice, and nothing here is an endorsement, referral, rating, or recommendation of any advisor or firm. Inclusion in our listings is automatic from public records and does not imply we vouch for anyone. The decision to contact, hire, or rely on any advisor is yours alone. Always conduct your own due diligence and verify any advisor's current registration and standing directly with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission before acting.
Where our data comes from
Advisor and firm information is sourced entirely from public regulatory filings made available by the SEC through its Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) system, including Form ADV — the same public records anyone can look up directly at adviserinfo.sec.gov. We present this public-record information descriptively and factually. We do not characterize advisors as good or bad, safe or unsafe; where we note disclosures, we report the categories exactly as they appear in the public record and link back to the official SEC source so you can read the full details and context yourself. We do not add accusations, opinions, or characterizations to anyone's record.
Accuracy and timeliness
We refresh data from official filings periodically, but we do not guarantee that any information is current, complete, or accurate, and filings themselves may lag real-world events. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The official, authoritative record is always the SEC's IAPD site at adviserinfo.sec.gov. When in doubt, that source controls.
Independence
AdvisorIQ is independent. No advisor or firm pays for placement, ranking, inclusion, or visibility, and no one can pay to influence how results are ordered. Result ordering is based on transparent, factual dimensions you control (such as name, location, or years registered), never on a paid or hidden score.
For advisors: corrections and disputes
If you are an advisor and believe a factual field we display is wrong, the source of truth is your own SEC filing — correcting it there flows through to us on the next refresh. If you believe we have misrepresented your public record, or you want to dispute an interpretation we present, contact us and we will review it in good faith. Because the underlying facts are public government records, we do not remove or suppress accurate regulatory information, but we will promptly correct genuine errors and consider disputes about any non-factual, interpretive content.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download the Service or its data through automated means.
- Use the data to build a competing dataset, or for spam, solicitation, or harassment of any advisor.

- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
The underlying regulatory data is public and available directly from the SEC; these restrictions apply to your use of our Service and presentation of it.
No warranty
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information is accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdvisorIQ and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, your reliance on any information, or any decision to engage or not engage an advisor. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AdvisorIQ and its operators from any claims or damages arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms.
